Originally from Miami but now based in New York, Atkinson’s quartet is a true extension of his international zeal. They have played at the Jazz Gallery and Small’s in New York, and saxophonist Tivon Pennicott has recorded with Esperanza Spalding on her latest CD. “His drumming draws on the seductive beats of his native Jamaica, and the percolating rhythms of his childhood home, Miami.” (Miami Ego magazine)

Multi-instrumentalist,composer, producer, and educator, Joseph (“Jowee”) Omicil a native of Montreal, deeply rooted in the island of Haiti, primarily plays the saxophone. He plays his wind instruments in a poetic and harmonious style. Sonny Rollins and many other jazz greats such as Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane and Miles Davis influenced his sound. In 2006, Jowee released his first CD entitled "Let's Do This" which takes you wherever you want to go. His new CD "Roots & Grooves", on the contrary, takes you where Jowee wants to take you as he describes it…"in Roots & Grooves, you will get afro-funky with it in a jazzy and groovy way. BASH!!!

David Siegel is a Miami based producer/songwriter/musician whose name has appeared as such on over 30 million records sold worldwide. David is known for performing most of the instruments on his own productions, as well performing as a musician for countless sessions outside of his own work. David is equally comfortable in a jazz environment while performing with Latin jazz great trumpet master Arturo Sandoval and others. David currently resides in South Beach and continues his work writing and producing out of Miami as well as producing and playing.

Captivating, soul stirring, earthy and funky. These are just some of the words used to describe the song stylings of LeNard Rutledge. LeNard he has been a featured vocalist at area Jazz spots in South Florida. The Van Dyke Café, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and O’Hara’s Jazz Pub are the most notable. LeNard has shared the stage with a number of highly respectable jazz artists such as: Nnenna Freelon, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kenny Drew Jr., and Harry Allen. In May of 2006, LeNard was named BEST JAZZ ARTIST, by the Miami New Times magazine. His first CD release, Hello World, was released in November 2007.

Felipe Lamoglia is a saxophonist, composer, and arranger, born in Holguin, Cuba. Felipe worked as a producer on Arturo Sandoval’s latest album, "Rumba Palace", contributing as arranger, performer, and composer, which won a GRAMMY Award in 2008. By the end of 2007 his first solo album, "Dimensions", was released. This project incorporates his Afro-Cuban roots with strong influences of Jazz and Brazilian music.

The side project is an effort to delve into their Colombian roots, blending them with electronic sounds and making them more accessible. "We've been jamming with electronics for a long time, but the idea came from wanting to do a Locos DJ set," says vocalist Itagui, who, along with LPJ bandmates Mark Kondrat and Javier "Lakambra" Delgado, makes up Afro Kumbe. "It's something cool and different, and a chance for us to experiment with different instruments."

JAHFE, which means creation, was founded in 2002 by Sasha Sanon, of Haiti, and Esther Fortune (born in Miami but raised in Haiti).
